At Annual General Meeting it was announced that Michael has been elected President Elect of the Royal Society of British Artists. He briefly thanked members for their support and confidence and the legacy of a firm foundation which Mick Davies, President, Meg Dutton, Vice President and Brenda Davies, Hon Secretary had left. He assured members that he would make every effort to promote the Society’s best interests during his presidency. 

The Society was founded in 1823, and past members include Sickert, Whistler, Brangwyn, Lowry, and in more recent times Seago.

Michael takes over the presidency in June for a five year term of office.
